This Game Scenery was painted for a project Jer worked on in 1994 At that time Jer and a small band of Gamers thought the existing games were too simple. Jer wanted a more theatrical approach. Although we were unable to publish, we did place 6th in the competition. Here is a sample of Jer's scenery.
Jer was trained in the theatre with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design and Production; I was a professional scenic artist by age 25, have worked with numerous Tony Award winning lighting and set designers and have 3 shows I've painted on Broadway. As a professional I have worked on numerous world premier opera's. In 1981 I crossed the footlights and started painting murals and custom wall finishes in homes. For 35 years I have made a living in the Arts using my talent and experience. I have painted for operas, plays, movies, and television. Since then I’ve painted murals and natural surfaces in homes, offices and restaurants. My theatrical background and professional career is well suited to the computer game scenery business. I know how to be part of a team working towards a common goal. Plus I can bring a project in on time and on budget. In 1986 I began to computer image my designs to show the home owners what I was planning to paint for them. I can now paint my design in the computer and e-mail the concept to the clients. I feel certain that I can bring my talent and expertise to computer gaming scenery. I am not limited by what only lives in the computer library, I can pick up a brush and paint! My interest is not to come to work for you but to act as a freelance artist and work on a project to project basis.
